Our Vision
We are a missions organization committed to preparing, discipling, and training leaders to engage their world and be the church of the 21st century. We partner with Missionaries and Ministries helping them in their endeavors to reach the lost for Christ. We feel particularly called to the growing population of “post modern “and “post Christian” young people in the universities and larger cities of the world. Many are disillusioned with the church and we must find ways to build relationships with them and foster God-centered community. We have seen that when people are willing to “step out” of their comfortable lives and go somewhere; it is life-changing. Dependence on God is a must and our goal is to provide opportunities and mentor them each step of the way..
Our Plan
We believe that many people feel they have a “call” on their life, but, don’t know where to go or what to do. We want to be the vehicle to help them find that out.
In order to do this we ask that they commit to spend 9-12 months with us as “interns”. The first part of their internship will be at The Pump (a youth center/music venue we run in Waxahachie). While at The Pump they will be involved in evangelism to the youth that come, and, helping plan community events, outreaches, etc. During this time we will get to know them, and, find out how they react to and perform under different circumstances. This is very important because we do not want to send someone overseas if they are not ready, or, cannot work well with people, etc. We have an obligation to our partners to send only people who are prepared to help and be an asset to their ministry.
The next phase of their internship will be either in a foreign country or with a church plant team or ministry somewhere in the United States. Where they go will be determined by their interests, and agreement through prayer with leadership. We want to train them and help them hear the voice of God for their life.
The last phase will be with a different ministry in another country or location. We believe that after they have spent this time in service and listening to God, many will want to continue helping us with new interns and leading teams opening new ministry locations. Still others will have found out exactly what their calling is and will start new ministries, or join with someone they worked with during the internship. We plan to multiply the youth center/coffee shop concept around the world as bases for ministry. The “graduate” interns will help staff these locations as we start them.
Along with the internship we will continue to have mission trips every year, which will cause some to want to join as interns.
Our Target
People who have been involved in ministry, college students/graduates, and those who are ready to do something for God, but, do not feel they know what to do or where to go. Also people interested in going on mission trips, and people who are willing to think “out of the box” and are open to doing new things for God.
Our Beliefs
We believe:
* The Bible is the inspired Word of God, authoritative and infallible in the original writings.
* In one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
* In the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ
* His virgin birth
* His sinless life
* His miracles
* His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood
* His bodily resurrection
* His ascension to the right hand of God the Father
* His personal return in power and glory
* That faith in our Lord Jesus Christ is essential for the salvation of lost and sinful man.
* In the present ministry of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a . . godly life
* In the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and eternal life.
* In the spiritual unity of believers in Jesus Christ
